"Diana, wait."
She turned and looked at me, a smile on her face. My heart skipped a beat; it always did whenever she glanced my way. When did this start happening? I wondered. When did I start craving the touch of her skin? When did I start dreaming of her lips, wondering what they would taste like? This woman can make any man's dreams a reality, I thought. Could she do the same for me? Would she want to?
I swallowed my fear and uncertainty and stepped closer. Her lips parted slightly and I pressed mine to them. She tasted of honey and spice, a hint of heaven. Or immortality, perhaps. I pulled away and studied her expression carefully. A mixture of surprise, confusion.desire.
"Zatanna." It was all she said. As she leaned towards me, a single thought crossed my mind.
I must be a better kisser than I thought.
