Sorry has no meaning.

It sounds empty, all things considered. False. A prophesy that isn't about to happen anymore than I am to sprout wings.

So why do I believe in it? Why do I judge everyone, including myself, by it?

Because it is. And what is, is.

And I'm hearing the boos in the audience. So I'll never be a stand-up comedian, no great loss.

You want the short answer or the real one?

I knew you'd be picky and choose that one.

Because ‘sorry' is just a word. Everything's, basically, just words. And though they may have meanings, taken out of context and broken down, they're just words, just letters. Vowels and consonants. You get the drift.

Telepathy is something that's beyond words, so, of course, we (the Askani, Clan Chosen, etc.) don't believe in words in the traditional sense. It's the meaning behind the words, and the meaning behind the meaning.

Telepathy is hard to explain, what exactly it is, I mean. The texture of reality and that of the psi-plane. It's colors and it's feelings and it's sensations and it's the air we breathe.

It exists.

Just like we do, like everyone does.

‘I think, therefore I am,' said someone a long time ago. Thoughts mean being, existing.

Where I'm going with this, you might be wondering. Rest assured, all will be clear soon.

If thoughts are existence and telepathy a way to exist on another plane of being, what are words needed for? Because words are needed to communicate? Communication can be done without words. With body-language, signing and telepathy, just to name a few.

Saying you're sorry doesn't mean you're sorry, it means you apologize. Action is needed, a show of remorse. And even that may not mean you're sorry, it can mean you're going through the motions.

But it's a start.

I don't believe in apologies, but I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong and you're right.
